- Councilman Leon Young comes into crowded fat reduction weight room with huge ice cream Sunday. IT's a $21,000 councilman pay proposal. 1

- White House aid receives request to President Jimmy Carter from Colorado Springs. If he can get Israel and Egypt together maybe he can get Colorado Springs City Council and El Paso County Commissioners to agree on the Union Boulevard extension. 1
