Image Number006-227DateSummer 1976DescriptionDilapidated one-and-a-half story, shake-shingled, wood-frame Cape Cod style house with two dormers facing north. Little is known about this property except it was homesteaded by Easterners who had no idea of the environment in which they had settled. No one familiar with the typical winter conditions in rural El Paso County would build a north-facing house and have to contend with the freezing temperatures of a blizzard. Located 1 ½ miles east and one mile north of Ellicott.
