Image Number006-597DateSpring 1976DescriptionBuilt in 1891, this cottage features a high, peaked roof spreading over a screened-in veranda on three sides with a dormer on the front. Identified as Netherwood, it is located on the northwest corner of where Corona and Cresent Avenues meet in Glen Park and resembles some of the other buildings designed and built by carpenter John Woodbury such as the Red Crag, Wenonah and Hiawatha cottages. Glen Park is an area just south of Palmer Lake that developed as a summer resort populated with rustic, wooden homes and was the site of the Rocky Mountain Chautauqua Assembly.
