Photo ran in the Gazette on May 20, 1948. Research indicates that Walter Leo Hill [1923-2014] was a graduate of Pueblo’s Centennial High School who served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during WWII and graduated from Colorado College in 1948. He went on to work as a city administrator, vice-president and treasurer at the University of Colorado, bank president and president of the Colorado Bankers Association. Will Perkins [1928-2019] graduated from Colorado Springs High School and Colorado College, playing baseball for the Chicago White Sox farm team in the early 1950s.
