1st Oct 2025 5:16PMThis is an image of Thomas Palsgrove, his wife Nettie, and their two children, Harry and Mary, riding a burro. Thomas Palsgrove is my great-grandfather. He built a lot of the Half Way House himself. My grandmother, Mable, was born on January 14, 1890, in Colorado Springs, CO.

A man and a woman are in front of the house that has an American flag flying above it. Photo identified on back as Thomas Palsgrove, wife Nettie; on Burro Harry Palsgrove, Mary Palsgrove. Title on print. Research indicates that Thomas Palsgrove was the owner of this building and expanded it by adding 12 rooms in 1888. Research indicates that his daughter, Mary, was born in 1884, and she appears to be about 6 years old in this photo sitting behind her brother, which would date the photo as circa 1890.
