Georgetown; is the Capital of Clear Creek County, and centre of the chief silver region of Colorado. The town has a picturesque location in a valley like canon, encompassed on three sides by mountains rising abruptly 2500 feet. The numerous scenic attractions within the radia of a few miles, presenting the visitor with renewed succession of pleasurable changes, make this a point not to be oveerlooked by the traveler. All the noted points, as the Gorge and Devil's Gate; Green Lake; Summit of Argentine Pass; Gray's Peak, and Sulphur Springs in Middle Park, are of easy access, also the numerous mines with which the neighboring mountains are spotted.
