Collection NumberMSS 0102DescriptionThe Mayall Photograph Collection is a large and diverse collection of images of Colorado Springs, the Pikes Peak region, and the state of Colorado. Included are pictures of some of the more well-known schools, churches, stores, and government buildings of Colorado Springs. It also includes several World War I propaganda posters as well as photographs of the ill-fated 1919 Pikes Peak summiting attempt by “Little Zeb,” an American-made six ton M1917 tank. Photographs were donated to the library by long time volunteer Melba Mayall, many of which came from a box of old photographs discovered by her husband Broun Mayall in his office at First National Bank.
