F.M. Keeth came to Colorado Springs about 1887 and worked as a mining broker in the late 1890s, eventually becoming the secretary-treasurer and general manager of the Hercules Gold Mining and Milling Company by 1910. Mining publications in 1920 listed F.M. Keeth as the superintendent of Stratton Cripple Creek Mining and Development (Stratton Estate) in Cripple Creek.
